Ubunye Awarded Third Place in MacJannet Prize

Earlier this month it was announced that Ubunye was placed third in the MacJannet Prize for Global Citizenship.  The MacJannet Prize provides international recognition for exceptional community development projects around the world (visit their website for more information).  This year there were 66 other nominated projects, from 54 universities in 27 countries around the world.  Ubunye is very proud of this achievement, and proud its leaders in 2009 who made this possible.

In 2009, the Township Debating League, Inkanyezi and TeachOut made it through to the final round of nominations individually.
